The FDL50S1 Dehumidifier sucks water out of the air at a fast rate and I found myself changing the storage bin about 2 to 3 times every day. Thus, I bought a washing machine hose and attached it to the drainage port. The hose is 3 feet long and has a rubber end that fits snugly over the port. The basement was already dry after 4 days. “This dehumidifier was bought out of an emergency situation because our electricity went out for 2 days. Hence, the sump pump stopped working and we got water throughout the basement. Our LG Dehumidifier was knocked out so we need to replace it with a new one.
We went to Lowes and found this Frigidaire fdl50s1. We are not really happy with it. Its water tank is so difficult to pull out to empty. Contrary to their claim that it is quiet, the unit is actually loud. I can even hear it upstairs. Without a doubt, it does work okay but the noise is such a frustration.”(Anonymous from Seattle)
